UK companies can need to meet EU DPP requirements when they supply products covered by applicable EU rules into the EU market. Being a UK company does not, by itself, require a passport for every product or remove the duties attached to a covered product.
Do UK companies need Digital Product Passports?
Answer checked:

A Great Britain manufacturer supplying an EU customer can retain manufacturer duties under the applicable product rules; the EU-established importer has separate checks. Direct selling, own branding and the route by which the product is placed on the market all matter.
Separate Great Britain from Northern Ireland. The Windsor Framework can make the applicable regime different in Northern Ireland. The UK government’s digital-product-record call for evidence is policy development, not an adopted universal UK passport mandate. Do not use “UK-only sale” as a blanket exemption.
For one product, record the destination, whether the transaction involves Great Britain or Northern Ireland, the responsible economic operators and the applicable legal instrument and date. Confirm that product-specific position before buying a passport service.

Prepare the cross-border information handover
Agree who supplies the product identifier, which evidence supports each required value and who keeps it current. A commercial agreement can organise the work, but it does not automatically transfer statutory responsibilities. Use the supplier request worksheet to identify gaps without treating it as a passport or legal decision.
