DPP readiness for global supply chains

Are You Ready for the Digital Product Passport?

Find the operational gaps that could slow your Digital Product Passport preparation, then turn them into a practical sequence of work.

A Digital Product Passport is a structured digital record linked to a product or product identifier. Depending on the applicable rules, it can make defined product, sustainability and circularity information available to relevant people and systems.

Current regulatory position

Regulation is moving in stages—not every product group is at the same point.

More than a QR code

A data carrier can open a passport. It cannot make incomplete data ready.

A useful Digital Product Passport depends on accurate, structured and maintainable information behind the carrier.

01

Product data

Define identifiers, attributes, formats, provenance and ownership across the assessed product scope.

02

Supplier data

Map suppliers to products and establish controlled requests, validation and follow-up for missing evidence.

03

Traceability

Choose appropriate granularity and connect products, batches or items to relevant upstream records.

04

Evidence & documents

Organise certificates, declarations and reports with scope, status, version and review metadata.

05

Systems & integration

Reconcile authoritative systems, structured fields, identifiers and controlled data exchange.

06

Governance

Assign accountable ownership, applicability review, approval procedures and a monitored roadmap.

Platform model

Assess → Prepare → Review → Package → Maintain

One workflow from readiness diagnosis to a reviewed, evidence-backed passport dataset that you hand to your passport provider or customer. Every plan includes the preparation workflow; Professional and Business add team, bulk and governance tools. DPPLogic does not publish, host or resolve passports, and it does not use runtime AI on your data.

  1. 01

    Assess

    Free readiness check

Measure reported readiness across six operational dimensions and surface priority gaps.

  2. 02

    Prepare

    In the workspace

Record product facts with their source wording, see which required information is missing and assign actions and supplier follow-ups.

  3. 03

    Review

    In the workspace

Link evidence references, then accept or reject each value and evidence item. Every decision is kept in the audit history.

  4. 04

    Package

    Internal only

Assemble a versioned passport dataset, mark it READY after review and export it as JSON or CSV. Nothing is published.

  5. 05

    Maintain

    Manual checks

Run change checks, supersede outdated evidence with a reason and compare versions. Automated regulatory monitoring is not provided.

Built for cross-functional preparation

A starting point for organisations that make, import, distribute or sell products

The check is designed for product, sustainability, compliance, data, operations and supply-chain teams preparing products for the EU market. It helps structure a readiness conversation; it does not decide legal applicability or certify compliance.

No runtime AI on your data

The readiness assessment and its recommendations use deterministic processing. The DPPLogic workspace does not use runtime AI on your data: values, evidence references and review decisions are entered and made by people. DPPLogic does not publish passports, generate QR codes, email suppliers or provide a supplier portal, and it is not a general-purpose generative or regulatory assistant.

International supply chains

Prepare products for the EU market—wherever they are made.

EU product rules concern products placed on the EU market. Exact responsibilities depend on the product, applicable legislation and the roles of manufacturers, importers, brands and other economic operators.

Suppliers outside the EU may be asked to provide structured product information and supporting evidence to EU-facing customers. Preparation should reflect the real commercial and legal chain—not a blanket claim that every exporter is regulated identically.

Guidance for international exporters

Regulatory trust framework

Guidance should show its evidence.

Significant claims are designed to carry a source, jurisdiction, status and review date. Confirmed law is separated from developing measures, preparation recommendations and interpretation.

First-party product information · DPPLogic

From supplier evidence to reviewed product data

DPPLogic helps a product team collect, source and review the product data and supplier evidence each product needs for its Digital Product Passport, then export a reviewed dataset for its passport provider or customer, with a record of who decided what. Preparation is not compliance: DPPLogic does not certify products or give legal advice.

  1. Record the product. Define its reference, category and requirement pack, then record each product fact with its source wording and unit.
  2. Add evidence references. Link each value to an evidence reference: a web link or where the document is held, with validity dates and a reviewer. Files are not uploaded or stored.
  3. Review each value. Accept or reject each value and evidence item, and supersede outdated evidence with a reason. Nothing is marked verified automatically.
  4. Work through gaps. Review missing or conflicting information and track actions, follow-ups and supplier requests that you send yourself.
  5. Prepare the passport dataset. Assemble a versioned internal draft, mark it READY after review and export it as JSON or CSV. DPPLogic does not publish, host or resolve passports.

Every plan includes the core preparation workflow. Professional and Business add team, bulk and governance tools: catalogue import, optional independent review by a second team member, multi-product supplier requests, supplier response import, secure supplier response links, bulk work and an audit trail export. Business has the same tools as Professional, with higher limits. Free (£0): up to 5 products, 1 team seat, 1 product family and 3 suppliers. Professional: up to 100 products, 5 team seats, 10 product families and 25 suppliers. Business: up to 2,000 products, 15 team seats, 100 product families and 250 suppliers. Subscriptions are available in GBP, EUR and USD; DPPLogic is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. See plans and prices.

Not included on any plan: compliance certification, legal advice or a legal decision about which rules apply; publication or hosting of public passports, QR codes, a resolver or Registry submission; runtime AI processing of your product or evidence data (DPPLogic does not use AI to read documents or suggest values); document upload, file storage or scanning; automatic email to suppliers or team members, or a supplier portal or supplier sign-in (on Professional and Business, a secure response link lets a supplier answer one request without an account); a customer API, integrations or single sign-on; automatic monitoring of regulatory changes.
