Website privacy notice
Ryan Jarvis trading as DPPLogic. Nanny Cay, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. support@dpplogic.com.
Version website-privacy-2026-09-30.
This notice explains how the dpplogic.com website and its free tools handle personal data. It is not a claim of certified compliance with the BVI Data Protection Act, 2021, UK GDPR, EU GDPR or PECR. The DPPLogic service has its own Privacy Notice at https://pilot.dpplogic.com/legal/privacy/.
Who we are
The controller for personal data processed through this website is Ryan Jarvis trading as DPPLogic, an individual trading as DPPLogic. Privacy contact: support@dpplogic.com (monitored, handled manually). Business correspondence address: Nanny Cay, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. That address is a correspondence location only. No Data Protection Officer has been appointed.
The DPPLogic service (workspace, sign-in and billing at https://pilot.dpplogic.com) is covered by its own Privacy Notice (https://pilot.dpplogic.com/legal/privacy/), Cookies notice (https://pilot.dpplogic.com/legal/cookies/) and, for business customers, a Data Processing Agreement (https://pilot.dpplogic.com/legal/dpa/).
UK and EU privacy duties that apply to personal data of people in those places are not removed because DPPLogic's contracts are governed by the laws of the British Virgin Islands. Duties under the BVI Data Protection Act, 2021 that apply to processing in or from the Virgin Islands are likewise not removed by where a visitor is located.
Visiting the website
The website is hosted by WordPress.com (Automattic). When you visit, Automattic's hosting and security systems process connection information such as your IP address, browser details, the pages you request and the time, under Automattic's policies (https://automattic.com/privacy/).
The website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking services. A small event record is kept in the page's memory (dataLayer) and is not sent to any third party.
Free readiness assessment
- The Quick Check does not ask for your name, email address or payment. Your selected answers, such as organisation role, country, product category and maturity choices, are sent from this website's server to the DPPLogic assessment service at api.dpplogic.com, which calculates, stores and returns your result.
- To protect the assessment against abuse and to link related requests, each Quick Check uses a one-time ticket and a pseudonymous request identifier. The identifier is a keyed one-way hash of a random value held in your browser and, for download or deletion requests, also of your IP address and browser details. It is not your IP address itself.
- For 15 minutes after a Quick Check, the same browser can download or delete that result using the controls on the result page.
- If you continue to the Full Assessment, your answers are processed by the same assessment service, which sets a cookie so that the same browser can resume, export or delete that assessment for 24 hours.
- Assessment results are not transferred into a DPPLogic workspace.
- Results you do not delete remain stored on the assessment service. They are not linked to your name or email address.
- The assessment service is hosted by Fly.io (https://fly.io/legal/privacy-policy/).
Other free tools
- The applicability checker sends the product facts you select to this website to calculate and show a result. The selections are not saved, and no personal or company details are needed.
- The checklists, buyer and cost worksheets and supplier request template keep your entries only in the current page. Reloading the page clears them.
Usage counts
Some pages send a small first-party event receipt to this website when you use a tool or select certain links. A receipt contains only an event name, the UTC date, the environment and a digest used to prevent duplicate counting. It contains no answers, selections, identifiers, IP address, browser details, referrer or URL parameters, and no cookie or local storage is used. Receipts are deleted after a 35-day reporting window and are used only to count how often tools are used. Counts cannot identify individual visitors.
Optional product video
Where a page offers a product video, it starts as a still image hosted on this website. The YouTube player (from youtube-nocookie.com) loads only if you select it. YouTube then receives your connection details and this website's address (the origin, not the page path) and may use its own cookies or storage under Google's policies (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
Email enquiries
If you email support@dpplogic.com, we receive your email address and your message. The mailbox is hosted by Google Workspace. We use enquiries only to reply and to keep a record of our correspondence. The website does not send email for you: the contact link opens your own email application.
Legal bases
- Operating and securing the website and its free tools, preventing abuse and keeping aggregate usage counts: our legitimate interests in providing a secure, working website.
- Calculating and returning an assessment or tool result you ask for: our legitimate interests in providing the free tool you requested.
- Replying to enquiries: our legitimate interests in responding to you, or steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract.
- Direct marketing: none.
Providers and recipients
- WordPress.com (Automattic): website hosting and security.
- Fly.io: hosting of the assessment service at api.dpplogic.com.
- Google: the Google Workspace mailbox for support@dpplogic.com, and YouTube only if you load a video.
- Regulators, courts or professional advisers where legally required.
- We do not sell personal data.
International transfers
Our providers may process personal data outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Fly.io states that information it collects is stored and processed in the United States unless it says otherwise. Automattic and Google publish their own data transfer terms. DPPLogic is operated from the British Virgin Islands.
The laws of the British Virgin Islands do not replace UK or EU transfer rules that apply to personal data of people in those places.
Retention
- Usage-count receipts: deleted after a 35-day reporting window.
- Quick Check result access from your browser: 15 minutes. Assessment form session: 30 minutes.
- Full Assessment resume cookie: 24 hours.
- Stored assessment results: kept on the assessment service. You can delete a Quick Check within 15 minutes of taking it, and a Full Assessment with its controls while you can still open it.
- Enquiry emails: kept as reasonably required to support the relationship and meet legal obligations.
- Hosting and security logs: kept by the hosting providers under their own policies.
Your rights
Depending on the BVI Data Protection Act, 2021 and, where they apply, UK GDPR or EU GDPR, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and the right to complain to the BVI Office of the Information Commissioner, the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or another competent authority.
Send requests to support@dpplogic.com. We handle them manually. Because the free tools do not ask for your name or email address, we may not be able to link a stored assessment to you.
Business use
The website and the DPPLogic service are intended for businesses and organisations. They are not directed at children.

Material changes to this notice will be posted on this page, with 30 days' notice where reasonably practicable. Minor technical, legal-compliance or security corrections may be made without that full period.
